Dr. Yutaka Sasaki

Dr. Sasaki received his B.E., M.Eng. and Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Tsukuba in 1986, 1988, 2000, respectively. From 1988 to 2006, he has been with the NTT laboratories, Japan. During 2004-2006, he was with Advanced Telecommunication Research Institute International (ATR), Kyoto, Japan.

In 2006, he joined the School of Computer Science, the University of Manchester. He moved to Toyota Technological Institute, Nagoya, Japan in 2009, where he is a Professor in the Department of Advanced Science and Technology. His recent research interests have been in areas machine learning, natural language processing, and biomedical informatics.
